Missing man found after appeal

A YOUNG man who vanished from his home has been found safe and well, putting an end to his family's torment.

Jamie McAllister, 19, had sparked police appeals and an anguished message from his relatives to get in touch after he disappeared on Monday. The teenager, from Cumbernauld, but who is originally from Glasgow, was receiving hospital treatment after he was found in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire.

His disappearance had been highlighted by social media users locally and his grandmother Geraldine McAllister, 61, had made a direct appeal for him to make contact.

The former Knightswood Secondary School pupil had recently decided he wanted to go to college to study business management.
