Missing man probe as police find body

Police searching for a man in the Fraserburgh area have recovered a body from the town's harbour.

Dmitrijs Kirilovs, 38, was reported missing after he was last seen in the Saltoun Square area of the Aberdeenshire town at about 5am on December 1.

Police Scotland said a body was recovered from the water at Fraserburgh harbour and the family of Mr Kirilovs have been informed of the development.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

It is understood that police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
