Missing sailor appeal

THE uncle of missing Scots sailor Timmy MacColl has said the UK Government would be pulling out the stops had it been Prince Harry who had vanished.

Neil Cunningham appealed to Prime Minister David Cameron to raise awareness in Dubai, where there has been little publicity about the disappearance in May of Timmy, 27, pictured, of Killin, Stirlingshire.

Mr Cunningham, 42, said: "Not once have the Government or Foreign Office offered the family any expertise to assist."

The Foreign Office expressed "sincere sympathies" and said its staff are in contact with the Dubai authorities.
