Moira Anderson's remains not found during grave search

The remains of a schoolgirl who went missing 56 years ago have not been found in a grave in Lanarkshire.

Moira failed to return home after running an errand in Coatbridge in February 1957

Police began exhuming a family grave at the Old Monkland Cemetery in their search for Moira Anderson on Tuesday, January 8. Experts believed her body may have been dumped under a coffin in the grave following her disappearance in February 1957.
