Monte Carlo or bust

THOUSANDS of spectators turned out to see a convoy of classic cars leave Glasgow on a non-stop 2000-mile rally to Monaco.

About 15,000 people gathered to watch the vehicles, including Lancias, Triumphs and Porsches, leave Glasgow yesterday as part of the 2013 Monte Carlo Classic Rally.

Around 100 vehicles crossed the starting ramp at the People's Palace. They were heading for Kilmarnock and Dumfries before travelling through England and France en route to Monte Carlo.
