More than £2,000 in cash found in Aberdeenshire bin

A pile of bank notes totalling more than £2,000 has been found in a public bin.

Passers-by discovered the money yesterday in the bin in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.

The four-figure sum of cash was all in bank notes.

Police Scotland are keen to trace the owners and have appealed for anyone with information to contact officers by calling 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
