A mother-of-two found dead in her home along with her husband in a suspected murder-suicide died from head injuries.

Donna and Kenneth Graham were both discovered at their family home in South Queensferry, Edinburgh, by their daughter Laura last month.

Death certificates state that Mrs Graham, 51, suffered a traumatic head injury and her 52-year-old husband died from a stab wound to the heart.

The same time of death - 5.27pm on Sunday, February 23 - was given for both Grahams, shortly after the couple were found in their Echline Gardens house by Laura, 27.

Police declined to comment on whether Mr Graham took his own life after assaulting his wife, but repeated they were not seeking anyone in connection with the deaths.

In a statement released by Police Scotland, Laura and her younger sister Lisa, 23, said: "We are all devastated and shocked with what's happened. We can't explain how we are feeling and just want private space to try and come to terms with the shock. Our parents were the most loving, caring couple and the shock of their deaths alone is too hard to come to terms with."

Donna is thought to have worked as a medical secretary at the Western General Hospital while her husband is said to have worked as a coach driver.
