Police are appealing for witnesses after a 24-year-old man was followed home from his workplace and attacked.

The man left his work on Crow Road in west Glasgow at 5.30pm on Monday and walked to his silver BMW 3 Series parked a short distance away on Abbey Drive where he noticed a dark coloured Audi A3 parked with its lights on.

Throughout the five mile journey south of the city the man was aware of the Audi following him. When he got out of his car at Ravenscraig Drive in Pollok a man got out of the passenger side of the Audi and began beating the 24-year-old with a baton.

The suspect then smashed all of the BMW's windows before getting back into the Audi which drove west in the direction of Peat Road.

The attacker is 5ft 9ins tall and was wearing a dark tracksuit and a balaclava. There is no description of the driver.

Detective Constable John Aikman of Pollok Police Office said: "I'd ask anyone who witnessed Monday night's attack to come forward and talk to police.

"The Audi in question had distinctive Xenon style headlights and the number 11 on its registration plate. If you saw it that night please contact Pollok Police."
