MPs not trusted

DEBT-ridden under-25s claim that they trust reality TV stars over politicians.

Nearly half of those aged between 18 and 25 said they felt abandoned by the Government and would trust personalities such as Simon Cowell and TOWIE's Joey Essex more than politicians and bankers.

The young adults claim the only people they trust less than MPs are estate agents and double glazing salespeople.

Around one in 10 of those questioned (11.8%) said they were more than £15,000 in the red and feared they would never get out of debt. On average, under-25s are £4973 in debt.

Some 96% of those questioned said as a result they did not trust MPs at all, while only 7% said they had any faith in bankers.
