Following the whirlwind of his US Open victory, Murray touched down on British soil and said his aim was to head north of the Border.

When asked if he would head to Dunblane or attend the parade on Friday, Murray, who took gold at London 2012, said: "It's a shame I missed the one in London. I would like to try to go back for the one in Glasgow. It would be nice.
