WIMBLEDON champion Andy Murray is to be given an honorary degree by Stirling University.

The Dunblane-born tennis star will collect the award when he visits the area on April 23. He is also expected to receive the freedom of the city, awarded for his two grand slam successes, and officially open his five star hotel, Cromlix House, during the visit.
