Music boss McGee hails hard Glasgow childhood

THE Scot who managed pop giants Oasis to international fame says his success was largely down to his father "jumping on his head".

Record company boss Alan McGee, who signed Oasis and Primal Scream to his Creation record label and famously managed the Gallagher brothers, has revealed he grew up in a "violent household" and was once beaten so badly by his father he needed stitches.
