Pictured are youngsters from St Aloysius College junior school as they were conducted by Clare Stubbs at the event in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow yesterday.

The event is an annual festival of music, speech, drama and dance first held in 1911. Each year 7000 performers take part in the two-week event which opens on the first Saturday in March. The festival runs until Saturday.
