Nessie duo pedal to a new record

INTERNATIONAL cricketer Andrew Flintoff has been lost his place in the Guinness Book of Records thanks to Nessie and two men in a pedalo.

His two-year-old world record for a 100-metre sprint in a two-man pedalo was smashed by almost 22 seconds at the Caley Marina in Inverness in one minute, 36.94 seconds. The attempt was confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records who witnessed the sprint in the Nessie-shaped pedalo.

The record was broken by Nico Kirby and Ed Foster, a Scot. Both live in London and hope to now take the pedalo through the Caledonian canal and around the north of Scotland on a 500-mile mission to raise money for charities.

Flintoff and fellow cricketer Steve Harmison set the previous record of one minute, 58.62 seconds in March 2012.
