New faces on display

NEW portrait photography features in an exhibition that opens today at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.

The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize brings together 60 entries from the 2013 competition, which attracted over 5000 submissions.

The £12,000 prize, organised by the National Portrait Gallery in London and sponsored by international law firm Taylor Wessing, was awarded in 2013 to Spencer Murphy, 35, for his portrait of Irish jump jockey Katie Walsh.
