Vitas Vasiliauskas, who governs the Bank of Lithuania, said Mr Romanov's Ukio Bankas Investment Group (UBIG) empire would suffer after the collapse of sister firm Ukio Bankas.
He confirmed part of the assets in Scotland connected to the main shareholder of Mr Romanov's Ukio Bankas was pledged to Ukio Bankas.
