IT'S one of the modern icons of Scots television as you've never seen him before.

Under the charity shop garb, wig and make-out is Rab C Nesbitt star Gregor Fisher pictured in the lead role of Yer Granny.

An adaption of the Argentinian smash-hit comedy La Nona and set in a Scots-Italian chip shop, Yer Granny has already eaten the shop into bankruptcy and is now working her way through their kitchen cupboards, pushing the Russo family to desperate measures just to survive.

Adapted by populist playwright, Douglas Maxwell, and directed by leading theatre director Graham McLaren, Yer Granny is touring to Greenock, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Dundee and Belfast until July 4.

It also stars Paul Riley, Jonathan Watson, Maureen Beattie, Louise McCarthy, Brian Pettifer and Barbara Rafferty.
