OAP hit by car: police appeal for witnesses

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

The pensioner, who is in her 80s, was struck by a Ford C-Max in Glengate, Kirriemuir, Angus at around 11am yesterday.

She was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment to her injuries, Police Scotland said.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 or speak to an officer.
