One-year ban for driving at 114mph

The global head of brand for a Scottish whisky firm has been banned for dangerous driving.

Christopher Watt, 25, was disqualified from the road for a year after he admitted clocking 114 miles per hour on his way home from the Dalmore distillery.

Perth Sheriff Court was told yesterday that Watt – who recently launched a $250,000 whisky collection in the US – had flown back for his court case.
