The Kilmarnock band won the award for album Opposites, with Robbie Williams named a Q Idol, and Ellie Goulding winning Best Solo Artist. Foals beat Arctic Monkeys to the title of Best Live Act, but the Sheffield band won Best Track for Do I Wanna Know?
Glasgow group Belle and Sebastian were named the winners of the Spirit of Independence Award.
