THE search continued last night for the two Dutch divers lost after diving around one of Orkney's historic wreck sites.

Specialist police divers based in Aberdeen travelled to Orkney's world-famous harbour Scapa Flow yesterday to aid in the search

The two experienced divers failed to surface on Tuesday from a leisure dive on a ship from German Imperial Fleet, one of the vessels that was scuttled in Scapa Flow in 1919.

The alarm was raised around 5pm on Tuesday by the skipper of the boat they were diving from.

The initial search was stood down for the night shortly after 8pm on Tuesday but shoreline searches continued yesterday.

Scapa Flow is one of the top three diving sites in the worl, with lots of diveable wrecks.
