Owner and McCoist charged

RANGERS manager Ally McCoist and chief executive Charles Green have been charged with bringing the game into disrepute by the Scottish FA.

The SFA has issued notices of complaint against the pair for comments they made in the wake of Charles Green's takeover after the club was liquidated.

McCoist called for the three-man SFA panel, which decided to hit the club with a 12-month transfer ban and to fine them £160,000, to be named.
