A COUPLE have been banned from keeping animals for five years after causing their dogs unnecessary suffering by failing to provide them with basic care and veterinary treatment.
Andrew and Marina Mullen, of Glespin, South Lanarkshire, admitted the offences at Lanark Sheriff Court.
Mr Mullen pled guilty to failing to provide veterinary treatment for his Shih-Tzu, Cheeko, who had to be put down when he was eventually taken to a vet.
