The Scottish Commemorations Panel, which will meet for the first time on Thursday, will oversee the delivery of the Government's commemoration programme for the 1914-1918 conflict.
Its number includes Brigadier David Allfrey MBE; the Duke of Buccleuch; the Rev Ron Ferguson; Maggie Cunningham, chairwoman of BBC Alba, and the Sunday Herald's diplomatic editor Trevor Royle.
