Jefferson Kettles, 18, was travelling to work at an engineering firm when he was involved in the collision near Cupar in the Bow of Fife on Monday.
His parents released an emotional statement, describing him as a "much liked, typical teenager". They added: "He loved life, was loved by everyone who knew him and was a great fun-loving lad.
