Ulster Bank customers hit by the month-long IT meltdown that crippled the bank are to be offered a compensation payment and free banking for three months.
Under the package, worth at least €35 million (£28m), the bank will give €25 to current account holders in the Republic of Ireland and £20 in Northern Ireland.
The offer is open to anyone forced to use branch banking more often than normal in the four-week data chaos.
