A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in the early hours of the morning.
The one vehicle collision happened on the A96 Inverurie to Aberdeen Road at Tavelty junction, Kintore at 2.20am today.
The road has been closed while police carry out investigations and diversions have been put in place.
Drivers have been warned to expect delays during the morning rush hour.
Police Scotland appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
