Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car

A man has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car.

The incident happened at around 4.30am today, when a vehicle collided with the male pedestrian on the A95 north of Aviemore in the Highlands. He was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.

The road is closed as an investigation is carried out.
