Pensioner, 83, found dead in Dundee flat

A lollipop man has been found dead in his flat after apparently lying there for weeks.

The body of Patrick Dagan, 83, was found after a neighbour reported concerns.

Mr Dagan was a lollipop man at St Mary's primary school in the Lochee area of Dundee.

It is thought he may have died a few weeks before his body was discovered on July 31.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that officers attended at an address in Napier Terrace, Dundee, on Thursday July 31 following a report of the death of an 83-year-old man.

"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
