Pensioner caught driving at 111mph

A PENSIONER has been convicted of driving dangerously at speeds of up to 111mph on the A75.

Alexander Muir, 75, of Blackcraig, Newton Stewart, was told his speed was more than 80% higher than the national speed limit of 60mph. He was fined £1000 and banned from driving for 18 months.
