Pensioner killed in A90 crash

An elderly woman has been struck and killed on a dual carriageway.

The 79-year-old died following a collision on the A90 Dundee to Forfar road, near the Jet service station at Dundee.

The driver of the Chevrolet Matiz car, a 20-year-old man, was not hurt in the incident at around 8.50am.

Crash investigators attended the scene and traffic diversions were put in place on the northbound carriageway.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
