A 78-year-old man who was trampled by cows has died in hospital.
Richard Nicholson, from Duns in the Borders, was seriously injured on farmland near Greenlaw in Berwickshire at around midday on Sunday August 25, police said.
He died this morning in Borders General Hospital where he was being treated for his injuries.
In a statement, his son Robert said: "Dad was well known and well liked within the local community, and he will be sadly missed by all his family and friends."
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and will be sending a report to the procurator fiscal.
