Doctor Who fans will get the chance to have their own adventure with the Timelord at a special event later this year.

Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi and showrunner Steven Moffat will meet fans during the official Doctor Who Festival, which will be held at London's ExCel between November 13 and 15.

The event will give fans the chance to see some of the show's costumes, props and film sets, attend a Doctor Who drama school and get an insight into how the series is made.

Capaldi said: "If having the world's favourite Time Lord back on screen every week isn't enough for you (and it's not for me) then The Doctor Who Festival in London is the place to be. I'll be heading there in November to join the fun and if it's anything like the 50th anniversary event, then prepare yourself for total Time Lord mania."

Steven Moffat said: "I can't believe we're going to give away our secrets! This is the closest you could possibly get to finding out what happens on set and how this magical show is put together."

Tickets for the festival, which go on sale at 10am tomorrow, cost £65, £30 for children and £165 for a family pass.

Special Tardis tickets will also be available costing, £110 for adults, £50 for children and £285 for families. The Tardis tickets include a brochure, lounge access, front row theatre seats and a Doctor Who goody bag.
