REAL ale enthusiast Gordon Neil helps put the finishing touches to what will be the biggest bar in Scotland over the next few days.

Paisley Town Hall is hosting the 27th Paisley Beer Festival, organised by the Renfrewshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra). With more than 220 beers from 60 breweries on tap, the event will satisfy the most discerning of enthusiasts. Products range from specials from Belgium, with an English focus on Lincolnshire brews. New to the festival are Nogne Triple Tiger, brewed in Norway, and Cinnamon Porter, an American Porter-style beer brewed in Maryland, USA. The event runs until Saturday night.
