Professor David Alexander, who led the trauma team following the North Sea tragedy in 1988, said he had not encountered more serious long-term psychological consequences for those involved, despite his work following the Lockerbie bombing, the 2005 Pakistan earthquake, Sri Lanka tsunami, and Balkans war.
