Plan to stake out big cat hotspots

Big cat enthusiasts are to stage a three-day vigil at sites across Scotland to collect evidence that the creatures exist.

DNA sampling techniques and state-of-the-art cameras will be used at the stake outs planned for Lanarkshire, Fife, Ayrshire and Moray.

Organisers at Big Cats Britain claim there have been 170 sightings and reports in the UK since the start of the year.
