Plea over killing in 1999

A FAMILY have made a fresh appeal for information on the 14th anniversary of the murder of Steven Brown.

He was found dead in a field near Elphinstone, East Lothian, on February 21, 1999.

Mr Brown, 35, had been stabbed several times and was badly beaten.

A re-investigation into his death was launched by Lothian and Borders Police earlier this year, with officers gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.
