Poetry in motion

Two youngsters dress up as Robert Burns as Stirling Castle gears up for a series of tours designed to help children find out more about the national bard.

Ben Mitchell, left, and Ethan Van Schalkwyk, both eight, were promoting events this weekend to coincide with Burns Night. Stirling and Edinburgh Castles have laid on a programme of events for all ages. The poet once visited Stirling Castle where he etched the now-famous Stirling Lines, lamenting the demise of the Stewart dynasty into a window pane.
