Police are hunting for two armed and masked men who tried to rob supermarket staff with a gun and a knife.
Three female shop workers, aged 41, 42, and 47, were threatened by the pair in a Tesco Extra store on Main Street in Kilwinning, Ayrshire.
The men demanded money but left empty-handed towards the Woodwynd area of the town, police said.
