Police officer denies causing fatal crash

A POLICE officer responding to an emergency call has denied causing the death of a taxi driver by dangerous driving.

David Brown, 30, was on his way to an incident when he is alleged to have failed to slow down for a red light and crashed into 65-year-old John Lacon's Fiat.

The collision took place on April 29 last year at the junction of Dorchester Avenue and Great Western Road in Glasgow.
