Police probe after residents flee fire

POLICE said local residents had a lucky escape from a fire that destroyed buses and caravans at a vehicle repair firm.

A family was lucky to escape from the blaze at Ferrymill Motors in Torrance, East Dunbartonshire, on Monday.

Mary Mitchell, her daughters Erin, 10, and Rhiannon, nine, escaped from their nearby home after being confronted by explosions, smoke and flames in thier back garden.
