POLICE have sealed off street as it investigates the "unexplained" death of a baby in Inverness.

MacLean Court in Culloden was cordoned off by police until Tuesday following what officers said was a sudden death at 12:55pm on Saturday.

Police say the body of a three-month-old boy was found.

A police spokesperson said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

A report regarding the child's death will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
