Police seize cocaine in car search

COCAINE with an estimated street value of more than £20,000 has been seized after a car was stopped by police following an alleged traffic offence.

The seizure was made after the incident in the Arden area of Glasgow on Saturday and the drugs were seized after a search.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the haul and alleged road traffic offences.

Separately, a car was stopped and searched in Aikenhead Road, Glasgow, on the same day.

A quantity of diazepam tablets worth £1000 on the streets was seized. A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this seizure.

Both men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.
