Polmont 'yet to reach its potential'

Scotland's chief inspector of prisons said the main centre for young offenders has yet to reach its potential.

But Brigadier Hugh Monro added, in a report released yesterday, that Polmont Young Offenders Institution had some examples of new and interesting work to inspire young people.

Brigadier Monro visited the centre in Stirlingshire and met one of its residents who was repairing bikes at a workshop.
