Around 18,000 properties suffered a power cut thought to have been caused by a lightning strike.
SSE customers in the Western Isles lost supplies at 10.30am yesterday. In a separate incident, 270 properties on Skye were also hit by a power cut at 4.20am incident, also thought to have been caused by lightning.
