FORMER 'It' girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is giving the shirt off her back to help a Scottish charity.

The television presenter is auctioning some of her pre-owed designer clothing and accessories to help raise funds for the Bridge of Allan-based autism charity Speur-Ghlan.

Items ranging from designers Azzedine Alaïa, Lanvin, Helmut Lang and Dolce Gabbana, will be available for bids from today at pre-owned designer clothes and accessories site HardlyEverWornIt.com

Speur-Ghlan, which has been active across Scotland since 2010, was set up by Ruth Glynne-Owen and last November Ms Palmer-Tomkinson agreed to become its first patron.

She said: "I've been fortunate to have been able to purchase the very best designer clothes and accessories over the years, but by auctioning them off for a worthy charity I feel like I'm giving something back and really making a positive difference.

"Speur-Ghlan's work is inspirational and offers children whose difficulties are identified early on, a chance to progress and shine.

"It also gives hope to the many families anxious about their child's development and future."

Ruth Glynne-Owen added:"We're incredibly lucky to have such a hands-on patron."
