Prince backs plans for new Scots town

PRINCE Charles is backing plans for a £1 billion town in the north-east of Scotland.

The Prince of Wales is said to be supportive of the blueprint for Chapelton of Elsick in Aberdeenshire.

The development is said to be loosely modelled on Poundbury, in Dorset, which was inspired by Prince Charles's vision of urban life where roads, schools, health centres, shops and parks blend in with landscaped homes.
