THE Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are to visit Canada next month.

The Royal couple will visit three provinces - Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Manitoba - from May 18 to May 21, Royal Communications said. They will take part in events to mark anniversaries of ­significance, including the centenary of the First World War, and the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference in Prince Edward Island that led to the Confederation of Canada.

Charles and Camilla will tour six communities: Halifax and Pictou County in Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Bonshaw and Cornwall on Prince Edward Island and Winnipeg in Manitoba.

Public events will include an official welcome to Canada and Nova Scotia at in Halifax on Victoria Day on May 19, and visits to Manitoba Legislature on May 21.
