PRINCE Edward shared tips on how to bath a baby with young inmates during a visit to Polmont young offenders institute.

The Earl of Wessex spent time chatting with young offenders and staff during a tour of the facility, and visited the parenting course, where the father-of-two discussed the difficulties of keeping a baby clean.

The Earl also spoke with some of the inmates in the education block about their aspirations, and was shown the fait and inclusion unit.

He then presented Duke of Edinburgh awards to six young people, before spending time at Inside Radio, HMYOI Polmont's own radio station.

He completed his visit with a demonstration of the work the young people do with re-homing dogs in the Paws for Progress work area.

Tommy Watt, Head of Offender Outcomes, said: "The day was a great success and that all the young people the Earl meet were a credit to themselves and the staff they work with here at HMYOI Polmont".
