Princess Royal to visit Abbey

The Princess Royal is to attend a service at Paisley Abbey to mark the beginning of its 850th year.

After the service, the senior royal will meet the Abbey's 850th anniversary organising committee and unveil a plaque commemorating the visit.

Reverend Alan Birss of Paisley Abbey said: "It will be an honour to welcome The Princess Royal for one of the most auspicious occasions in our year of celebration to mark the 850th anniversary.
